People will notice itI wanted a longer bath mat for a bathroom where a standard small mat doesn’t cover enough space. This runner is a nice upgrade: it feels good underfoot, it catches water well, and it stays in place. Shortly after receiving it, we received over a foot of snow. I decided to move it to the entryway to stop the runoff from everyone’s melting shoes.Feel and comfortThe microfiber is plush without being overly shaggy. It feels refreshing and safe when stepping out of the shower. The thickness is comfortable but still low enough that my doors don’t snag on it.Absorbency and dryingIt does a good job soaking up wet footprints instead of letting water track across the floor. After use, it dries reasonably quickly. I’ve had mats that stay damp forever - this one hasn’t done that.Non-slip performanceThe backing grips well on tile. It hasn’t slid around when stepping on it, and it doesn’t bunch up easily.Size and fitThe long runner size is the whole reason I bought it, and it’s been perfect for the space in front of the vanity. It covers more area, which means fewer wet spots on the floor. It’s also saved my entryway from the water appearing as shoes warm and snow melts inside.Washing and durabilityI ran it through the wash and it held up well. No weird curling edges, and the texture stayed soft. I was happy with this rug. It’s bigger than I thought it was going to be. It’s soft and comfortable. It has a non-slip bottom so theirs no slipping and it stays in place. Great value for the money.
I do not have a very large bathroom where I live and I almost made the mistake of not measuring how much for space I actually have. Fortunately, I had this nagging voice in my head telling me to measure before ordering it. I almost didn't because when you think "bath mat", overly large is not what comes to mind. My bathroom has a bathtub\shower at one end. The toilet suits next to the bathtub with only 8 inches between it and the bathtub. One the toilets other side is a single sink vanity that has a couple of feet of counter space on either side of the sink. If you thought that 8 inches between the tub and the toilet was getting a little bit extreme, there is only 4 inches between the toilet and the vanity. Where the vanity ends is a wall and the bathroom door is part of that wall. So you get the picture. My bathroom is pretty small. When I measured the admit of floor space I had from the bathtub to the bathroom door, I was surprised to discover that the length was the exact same length of this bath mat. I almost did not order it because there was no room for error. Fortunately, I did order it. Yes, it is very large but it literally covers all of the open floor space that I have in my bathroom. It is as if someone came in and carpeted my bathroom. It has already been a cold and wet winter (by Southern California standards) and not having to walk on could bathroom tiles in the morning makes me feel like royalty. I can walk from my bathroom door and into my bathtub without my feet touching cold tiles. I am sure by the time next summer comes around and it is already 100 degrees at 9am, the shine will have with off having carpet covering my bathroom floor. But it is pretty cool right now. It also helps that the bath mat is also well made. It might be very large but the manufacturer did not cut production costs by cutting corners. The material used to make this bath mat is good husky material. It feels very lush and soft on my bare feet. The bath mat itself is darkish blue and white. White is white but in this case it is true white. What really stands out is the darkish blue color. I say "darkish" because while it is a dark blue, it has depth to it that makes it pop. You don't look at this and see blue headed for black. You see a dark blue that is both dark and very very blue at the same time. Blue turning black is not something that comes to mind when looking at the color of blue. It is very much blue, just on the darker spectrum of blue. I should also mention that the underside of this bath mat is rubberized. Every bit of it. There will not be any falls happening because the bath mat slipped on the bathroom tiles when you stepped on it.I really do like this bath mat. It is well made and very visually appealing. If you also have a small bathroom, just make sure you measure the space that you want to put it in. Simply looking at the photos of it here on Amazon does not give it the proper scale or perspective. It is larger then you realize.
